Types of Metal Coatings & Thermal Spray Applications
Aluminum Non-Skid - Dual-purposed coating, delivering superior corrosion protection, while supplying safety-conscious, military-grade grip for all foot traffic.
Applications:
- Oil rig & Refinery walkways / decks
- Ship decks, Sidewalk & Concrete areas
- Scaffolding & Ladder rungs
- Shipping & Receiving docks, Forklift loading ramps
- Vehicle & Aircraft ramps, landing & loading areas
- and all other places where slip, trip & fall safety is a concern
Aluminum – Durable coating providing corrosion protection and prolonged life-cycle over conventional coatings.
Applications:
- Refinery Spools
- Pipe
- Vessels & Valves
- any surface needing an utmost durable coating, which also totally protects against all forms of corrosion.
- Its higher melting temperature makes it desirable for refinery CUI applications, in lieu of zinc. (CUI = Corrosion Under Insulation)
Zinc– Acting as a sacrificial coating protection for any concrete, iron or steel substrate or surface, zinc metalizing spray is your single-application solution to prevent deterioration, corrosion, oxidation and dissolution of your assets.
Applications:
- Structural steel and iron (pipe spools)
- Playground equipment
- Municipal City Transit structures, signage
- Bridges
- Refinery pipe and tubing Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI)
- Vessels & Valves
Metalizing with galvanizing zinc spray is the safest and most effective galvanizing method for any substrate in a corrosion-rich environment, but also the most effective and long-lasting approved-repair-method for damaged hot-dip galvanized components. Arc spraying a zinc galvanizing layer, compared to hot-dip, yields a thicker and more durable.
Zinc/Aluminum (85/15)– Corrosion-resistant coating that maintains the advantages of both material’s properties. In example, aluminum decreases the dissolution rate of the sacrificial zinc coating, which increases the life-cycle of the protection provided by the zinc. The fine pores of 85/15 allow the coating to provide unsealed protection, at coating thicknesses thinner than the 100% zinc coatings require for total protection. Aluminum’s properties give an 85/15 coating exceptional resistance to sodium chloride (saltwater) and all corrosive marine atmospheres.
Applications:
- Bridges
- Marine applications
- Dock plates & connectors
Architectural / Engineering Coatings:
- Silicone Bronze - Brilliant decorative coating, resisting corrosion and offering anti-wear properties.
- Aluminum Bronze – Brilliant decorative coating, resisting corrosion and offering anti-wear properties.
- Copper– Brilliant decorative coating, resisting corrosion and offering anti-wear properties.
- Stainless Steel – Decorative coating, resisting corrosion and offering anti-wear properties.
- Cobalt – Decorative coating, offering corrosion and thermal resistance, as well as anti-wear properties.
Applications:
- Architectural Structures
- Metal, Wood or Concrete
- Sculptures
- Concrete Retaining Walls
- Fencing
- Patio Furniture
- Any other surface seeking a brilliant metal appearance, with corrosion & wear resistance, shielding against the elements
